How to: Run a program in a DOS window, and return to Windows without rebooting.
Solution:
Specify the MS-DOS mode under the 'Advanced' button in the 'Program' tabbed page in the 'Properties' dialog box for the DOS application.
Windows 95 allows you to enter a single DOS environment temporarily without first closing Windows. After you exit the DOS application, Windows starts again.
1) Right-click the DOS application's icon. (A pop-up menu appears.)
2) Select 'Properties'. (The 'Properties' dialog box appears.)
3) Click the 'Program' tab. (The 'Program' tabbed page appears.)
4) Click 'Advanced...'. (The 'Advanced Program Setting' dialog box appears.)
5) Clear the 'MS-DOS mode' check box.
6) Click 'OK'.
